This module deals with the categorising and Retro-Labelling of the Legacy data. This activity enables all the Legacy Data to be located, indexed and then categorised into the appropriate categories which align with the Customer’s personalised LGCS.
It uses a workshop(s) to establish the correct Protective Marking level and the exceptions for each of categories from the Customer’s personalised LGCS.
DataCube uses advanced textual analysis techniques, based on latent semantic indexing, to analyse all of the documents. It then compares each document to examples of the kinds of documents which should be categorised in each category. For Local Authorities, we have already complied a detailed list of over 18,000 exemplars relating to the Local Government Classification Scheme (LGCS).
Using the pre assigned protective level marker held in each category in the Customer’s personalised LGCS (within the data inventory) which define each documents protective level- it then applies retro-labelling techniques and places a security protective mark in the metadata of the original document, along with a tag which produces a visual indicator on opening of the document. This then secures the data insomuch that it is now under security controls implemented by the organisation.
- Enables huge quantities of legacy data to be protectively marked in line with the organisations policy and the PSN recommendations
- Enables transparency agendas with safety, as the documents which are to remain confidential or protected are not available to unqualified users or viewers
- Impossible to bring about a manual retro-labelling system-time and accuracy prevent it.
